Call for Papers / Call for Proposals(Visual / Graphic)

The highlights of the 8th ISAIA will be the Keynote Lectures, Theme Sessions and Paper Sessions.
This time, there will be a new trial of proposal session in addition to paper session.
You are cordially invited to contribute papers and proposals to the 8th ISAIA.
Please be informed on the following instructions for preparing the manuscript.

Submission of an article to this Symposium(8th ISAIA) is taken to imply that it represents ORIGINAL, UNPUBLISHED WORK, not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Oral presentations are limited to one per person

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Authors are requested to submit abstracts. Please send your abstract (maximum 200 words) and preferred topics to the symposium secretariat by e-mail (free format) .

SUBMISSION OF FULL PAPERS
Manuscripts should be submitted as electronic files in PDF via website.The file must be smaller than 3 MByte.
Please be informed on the following instructions for preparing the manuscript.

- The deadline for submission of paper is August 13, 2010.

- The official language for the paper and presentation is English.

- The length of the full paper is recommended in 4 pages of A4-size(210 x 297mm) paper.The maximum length of the paper should not exceed 6 pages including spaces, figures, tables and references. Manuscript format guidelines will be put up on the website at a later date.

- All papers will be reviewed and selected by the Scientific Committee of 8th ISAIA. Information on acceptance of the papers in early September, 2010.

- The selected papers will be published in the proceedings and presented at the symposium.

  • ■Call for Proposals(Visual / Graphic)

    The Proposal Session is a visually-oriented session. Unlike a paper session which is based on Academic research, this inaugural session is intended to reach out to all the architects, students, and researchers to make propose solutions, ideas following topics listed below.
    This proposal session is intended not just for introducing proposed or executed architectural designs, but to be a more evolved version of the Paper Session. In other words, it will be a session that offers specific applications/proposals based on knowledge obtained through research-surveys or experiments, with the aim of compiling a wide variety of practical ideas/techniques for architecture or urban development in Asia.

    【Target】
    Target works will include designs/proposals that fit the keywords listed below, and which have been executed or proposed (as part of graduate theses, or post-graduate design assignments, etc.).
    The designs/proposals will be not only for the architectural form but also for wider fields such as structural design; design for building environment or architectural equipment; urban or regional design which includes landscape design and community development; conservation, restoration or reconstruction project; and fields related to other kinds of architectural or urban development.
