Objectives

1. Carry out inter-disciplinary research and investigtion including design, analysis and realization of shell and spatial structures.
2. Promote study and construction of shell and spatial structures by organizing symposiums and seminars, and also by publishing research reports and guidelines.
3. Promote international activities as a liaison between the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) and Japanese researchers through participation to the IASS symposia and working group activities of individual members of the committee.

Activities

The committee regularly evaluates the activities of each subcommittee, and discusses the necessity of reorganization considering the contemporary social demand.

The committee also suggests to the subcommittees possible future directions, how to output the results of activities, and collection of new members, if necessary.
