As we announced, the ALGODE2011 organizing committee has
started to make an effort to re-organize our symposium to be
more significant to all of the participants with many warm words
from all over the world and with strong expressions of intention
for cooperation from some invited presenters and international
advisory committee. A new method of participation and discussion
on our symposium through the internet is also being considered
to correspond to participants who cannot come to Japan . Our
tentative target due for symposium is assumed November 2011.
For the first step of these, we have just started our
publication of papers which can be downloaded from a special
website open to all of our registered participants including
student observers.
We hope these publications are taken as a reflection of the
presenter's academic achievement even though it is waiting more
discussion at a future rescheduled symposium.
Meanwhile, to sincerely meet the difficult situation that some
participants inside and outside of Japan are facing, we also
have decided to announce a measure to return part of the
registration fee for those participants who wish to withdraw
from the symposium. Refunds are as follows:
General participants with presentation (including student
presenters) : 50% of registration fee will be refunded if you
apply.
General participants without presentation (including students) : 70% of registration fee will be refunded if you
apply.
Student observer : 90% of registration fee will be refunded if
you apply.
Please inform us of your intention to apply to withdraw and
request a refund by email (algode@aij.or.jp).
We will keep your registration until we have the application.
We hope to have a symposium gathering as many as possible
participant remained with more expectation to our symposium. We
apologize for having taken this time to decide on this refund
policy which was not expected previously. We also ask you to
understand our purpose to organize our postponed symposium
sustainably.
