Benchmark Problem A0-1F -Properties-
Geometry: Cubic surface (1 m * 1 m * 1 m) in the free field. Boundary condition: All faces are vibrating boundaries with normal velocity, of which distribution is equal to that of particle velocity in the free field with one point source at the cube's center. Assuming its stationary vibration with volume velocity amplitude 1 m3/s, normal velocity on the faces is given by (A0-1F-1). Theoretical solution: Sound pressure in the exterior field is written as (A0-1F-2). |

-Task A- Directivity: Sound pressure amplitude [Pa] at 91 points (R1), 2 m away from the cube's center on the plane x = 0, located at 1 deg intervals (theta = 0, ..., 90 deg). At the octave-band mid-frequencies (f = 31.5, 63, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k Hz). Dataform: d-a0-1fa.xls -Task B- Frequency response: Sound pressure amplitude [Pa] at 3 points (0, 0, 0.5) (R2), (0, 0, 1) (R3) and (0, 0, 10) (R4). At the frequecies with 1 Hz intervals from 20 Hz to 4 kHz, or with 50 Hz intervals from 50 Hz to 4 kHz. Dataform: d-a0-1fb.xls |
